Brenda I. Kohler
Brenda I. Kohler, 80, of Northampton, died Nov. 3, 2021, at Lehigh Valley Hospital-Mulenberg after a motor vehicle accident. She was the wife of the late Raymond C. Kohler.
Born in Allentown, she was the daughter of the late Kenneth C. and Irene R. (Frantz) Williams.
She was a 1958 graduate of Northampton High School.
She worked as a server for the Northampton Memorial Community Center for 41 years, retiring in 2017.
She was a lifelong member of St. Paul’s United Church of Christ, Northampton, where she was an Elder, former Consistory member and president of the women’s association.
She was very active with the former Laurel Fire Company Ladies Auxiliary for many years, serving as past president and was a life member. She served as secretary on the Cement Belt Fair Association Committee for years. She was past secretary for the Alliance Fire Company, Northampton; life member of the Petersville Rod and Gun Club; life member and former bowler of the American Club of Coplay; member of the Fullerton Fire Company Ladies Auxiliary; and a member of the American Legion Auxiliary, Bath.
She is survived by three daughters, Penny I. and her husband David Farkas of Bath, Denise L. and her husband Stewart Wachter of Seaford, Del., and Tina A. and companion Billy Schlicher of Catasauqua; a brother, Curtis K. Williams and his wife Janice of Walnutport; seven grandchildren, Richard, Carrie, Erika, Alek, Katrina, Nicholas and Dylan; and four great-grandchildren, Tyla, Kyan, Keegan and Kase.
She was predeceased by a son, Richard R.; and a grandson, Tyler.
A viewing will be held 9 a.m., followed by a funeral service 10 a.m., Nov. 11 at the funeral home, 2119 Washington Ave., Northampton, 18067. It was Brenda’s wish her friends and family wear bright, vibrant colors to her services if you are able to do so.
