Catherine C. Haberern, 89, formerly of Schnecksville, died peacefully Nov. 5, 2021, surrounded by her loving family in Heather Glen Senior Living, Upper Macungie Township.
She was the wife of the late Robert M. Haberern.
Born Aug. 26, 1932, in Schnecksville, she was the daughter of the late Harvey C. and Clara H.M. (Mertz) Remaley.
She was a claims representative at Erie Insurance in Bethlehem for many years before retiring.
Before that, she was a clerk at the former Moyer’s General Store, Schnecksville.
She was a member of Union United Church of Christ, Neffs, a life member of Community Fire Co. No. 1, Schnecksville, and taught Sunday School at the Schnecksville Sunday School for many years.
Her survivors include children, Kathy A. Rader (Glenn) of Breinigsville, Ronald H. Haberern (Jamie) and Richard M. Haberern, all of Lords Valley, Pike County, Susan C. Steigerwalt (Bruce) of Schnecksville; nine grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and siblings Harold H. Remaley (Arlene) of Schnecksville, and Marilyn L. Sechler of Orefield.
She was predeceased by a sister Lorraine E. Hunsicker and a great-granddaughter, Alexis Harper Baer.
