Upper Macungie entrepreneur is busy turning humans into zombies, monsters

By DOUGLAS GRAVES

Special to The Press

When Halloween comes around makeup artist and entrepreneur Upper Macungie resident Terri Vadino gets busy.

She doesn’t plan to go to Halloween parties, but instead gets her clients ready for their parties.

While Vadino has been operating a one-woman business for several years as a makeup artist for special events such as weddings, she is perhaps most well known for her stunning creepy creature makeup ideas and creations that are popular during October when Halloween inspires party goers to call her.

Vadino’s company will soon be ready to expand her operation into several teams of cosmetologist artists to bring her brand of macabre makeup magic to clients who want to arrive at the party as their favorite fantasy phantom.

She has copyrighted a logo and secured a domain name for her company, Goddess and Ghost, but has not yet gone online.

She expects to launch a Facebook presence soon for her beauty services for weddings, birthdays and special effects.

Around Halloween things heat up for the busy entrepreneur when she starts booking clients who love her imaginative spooky creations.

Vadino says she spends about an hour per client to create the perfect makeup for the occasion.

She recently teamed with model and actress Stacey Redfield, of Bethlehem, to create a lovely zombie lady.

Well, maybe not “lovely,” but certainly eye-catching.

Vadino has a career as cardiology and radiology analyst for a medical company, but she says she is an artist at heart.

Redfield, like Vadino, is also an entrepreneur.

Redfield teaches Pilates at her Bethlehem business, Physical Methods, on Broad Street.

The high-energy Redfield, author of “The Pilates Effect; Heroes Behind the Revolution” has been teaching Pilates for 21 years, but has simultaneously built a career as a model and actress and most recently has appeared as a stand-up comedian at SteelStacks, Bethlehem.

More insight into Redfield’s work can be found at StaceyRedfield.com.
