Donald Dennis Bundra, 88, of Orefield, died on Oct. 17, 2021, in Lehigh Valley Hospital, Salisbury Township.
He and his wife, Rose M. (Montagner) Bundra, shared nearly 68 years of marriage.
Born Christmas Day 1932 in Ormrod, he was the son of the late Joseph A. and Margaret M. (Haas) Bundra.
He was a member of St. Francis of Assisi Roman Catholic Church, Allentown.
Before retiring, he was a pipe fitter/steamfitter for Steamfitters Local Union 420 for 35 years.
He was a U.S. Navy veteran, serving on the USS Burdo (APD-133) during the Korean War, and played clarinet and saxophone in the Navy band.
He coached Little League Baseball for the Lehigh County Youth Association Bulldogs in the 1970s.
He was a proud fan of the Fighting Irish of Notre Dame for many years.
“Pop-Pop” was a super fan of all his grandchildren and always made time to cheer for them at their activities.
He also enjoyed researching his Czechoslovakian family and heritage.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by sons Dennis and his wife, Linda, of Orefield, Thomas of Alburtis, Daniel and his wife, Sharon, of Whitehall, Joseph and his wife, Holly, of Allentown; daughter Bonita, wife of Duane Miller, of Salisbury Township; brother Leonard of Florida; 12 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren, whom he loved dearly.
He was predeceased by his sister Virginia Rondish and daughter-in-law Stacy Morane.
Burial with military honors will be 10:30 a.m. Nov. 6 at Highland Memorial Park, 1441 Roth Ave., Allentown.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Miller-Keystone Blood Center, 1465 Valley Center Parkway, Bethlehem, PA 18017.
