Sheckler News: Fourth-grade students perform

Sheckler Elementary School’s fourth-grade students put on a performance for the entire school Oct. 29.

Mrs. Nothstein’s Helping Hands Fund will be holding its annual homemade holiday sale at St. John Fisher Church, 1239 Third St., North Catasauqua.

The sale will be open 9 a.m.-8 p.m. Nov. 4 and 5 and 9 a.m.-2 p.m. Nov. 6.

The sale will feature homemade gifts from more than 35 local crafters. There will also be food and baked goods for purchase.

Please come out to support this organization.

Picture retake day at Sheckler Elementary will take place Nov. 11.

Sheckler will be closed Nov. 12 for a teacher in-service day. Students will return Nov. 15.

Catasauqua Area School District will be closed Nov. 25-29 for the Thanksgiving holiday.

Sheckler placed among the top 30 percent of elementary schools in the state of Pennsylvania, according to U.S. News and World Report.

This classifies Sheckler as one of U.S. News’ Best Elementary Schools.
