Pennsylvania State Police are seeking the public’s help after a report of gunfire that struck a moving vehicle Oct. 30 in East Allen Township and injured the passenger.

According to the report, two females in a motor vehicle stopped and requested assistance from Pennsylvania State Police troopers 12:14 a.m. Oct. 30 on Schoenersville Road after their vehicle had been struck by gunfire.

The operator of the vehicle told police she was driving southbound in the 6000 block of Weaversville Road, East Allen Township, when her vehicle, a 2020 Mercedes-Benz GLA250, was hit by gunfire in the passenger-side front door. The shot reportedly traveled through the door and struck the 24-year-old passenger from Allentown.

The passenger was treated at the scene for minor injuries and was transported to Lehigh Valley Hospital-Muhlenberg, Bethlehem.
