Northampton: Veterans Day program is planned
The Joint Veterans Organization of Northampton will hold a Veterans Day program 11 a.m. Nov. 13 at the veterans memorial plaza, 14th Street and Washington Avenue.
The rain date is 11 a.m. Nov. 14.

Reminder: Northampton Area Food Bank, 1601 Canal St., will be holding distributions 5-7 p.m. Nov. 4, 11 and 18 and 9:30-11:30 a.m. Nov. 6 and 20 for residents.
There will be a special Boy Scout food drive Nov. 13.
The food bank is open 9:30-11:45 a.m. every Wednesday for registration, inquiries, donation drop-offs and produce pickup.
Bring a picture ID with a current address or an ID with a bill with your correct address on it. You should reside in the Northampton Area School District or check with the food bank by phone Wednesday mornings. You will need names and birth dates of everyone living with you full time.

Swing Time Dolls will perform 1:30-3:30 p.m. Nov. 7 at The Roxy Theatre, 2004 Main St. All tickets will be sold at the box office.
Proceeds benefit the military charities of Knights of Columbus Assembly 3298, fourth degree.

Alliance Fire Company, 717 Washington Ave., will hold a turkey raffle 2-5 p.m. Nov. 7. There will be 25 turkeys, as well as other prizes, raffled off.
There is a cost.

Grace United Church of Christ, 902 Lincoln Ave., will hold a spaghetti dinner 4-7 p.m. Nov. 13. The dinner, for dine-in or takeout, includes spaghetti with meat sauce, salad, roll, dessert and beverage.
A bake sale and basket social will take place as well. It is not necessary to be present for the 7 p.m. basket drawing.
Tickets can either be purchased at the door or in advance.

Assumption of the Virgin Mary Ukrainian Orthodox Church, 1301 Newport Ave., is holding a nut roll sale. Flavor choices include apple, apricot, coconut cream, lekvar, nut, poppy seed, red raspberry and pumpkin/cheese.

Nut rolls can be picked up 9:30 a.m.-noon Dec. 11 at the church.

Monday night bingo has resumed at Northampton Banquet and Event Center, 1601 Laubach Ave. Doors open 5:30 p.m., and the games will begin 7 p.m.
