North Catasauqua police were called Oct. 25 for a reported disturbance in the area of Locust and American streets. When officers arrived on the scene, they were told of six incendiary devices located on the same property.

North Catasauqua Emergency Management and Fire Department were called to assist.

Emergency management personnel determined a potential threat to the public’s safety and requested assistance from the Allentown Bomb Squad.

The bomb squad, after reviewing the situation, determined there was no need to evacuate residents in the area. The devices were rendered safe and were disposed of.

An investigation continues by North Catasauqua Police Department, Alcohol Tobacco and Firearms, Pennsylvania State Police and the borough’s Emergency Management team.
