Harry S. Lichtenwalner

Harry S. Lichtenwalner, 90, formerly of Lyon Valley and Macungie areas and Fellowship Community, died Oct. 24, 2021. He was the husband of the late Flora F. (Foster) Lichtenwalner.

Born in Macungie, he was a son of the late Harry E. and Sadie M. (Erb) Lichtenwalner.

Along with farming full time, he was a part-time farm implement mechanic for Kemmerer and Smith, International Harvester, Agway and Gunther Huessman. He worked full time at John Deere Lehigh Ag, Chapmans, until he retired in 1999.

He was a member of Grace Community Church, New Tripoli; and a former member of Solomon’s UCC, Macungie, and Weisenberg Union Church, New Tripoli.

He was active in the 4-H Club, Macungie Field Days, Macungie and Seipstown Granges, Lehigh County Soil Conservation, Weisenberg Township Zoning Board and the Lehigh Valley Dairy Advisory Board.

He is survived by four sons, Bruce S. and his wife Marliese E., Dan L. and his wife Jan E., Ray S. and his wife Jill N. and Matthew E. and his wife Tracie A.; a daughter, Judith E. Lichtenwalner; a sister, May Keiser; 12 grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren.

He was predeceased by five brothers, Standley, Arthur, Walter, Theodore and George; and four sisters, Gladys Fink, Ruth Lichtenwalner, Marion Bollinger and Marguerite Long.
