With the arrival of November comes fundraisers, new clubs and theater productions at Emmaus High School.
The EHS Theater Department presents “Noises Off,” a three-act fall play of comedy, romance and more. Performances are Nov. 4, 5 and 6. Tickets can be purchased in advance using the EHS website. Tickets also will be available at the door at the school auditorium. Student and senior citizen tickets are discounted.
The Interact Club is collecting new toothpaste and deodorant bottles for EHS’s Angel Network, which will distribute these toiletries to families in need with their Thanksgiving boxes. Donations may be dropped off outside Room 524 through Nov. 10.
In addition, the Interact Club has partnered with the Emmaus Rotary Club to collect soda can tabs, which will raise money for The Ronald McDonald House Charities. Tabs will be collected throughout the year and can be dropped off in Room 524. Some classrooms may also have their own soda tab collections, which will be delivered to the Interact Club at the end of the year.
Habitat for Humanity is selling holiday decor, including wreaths, sprays, centerpieces and Christmas trees. Proceeds go toward providing Lehigh Valley families with affordable housing. To support the fundraiser, go to www.giftitforward.com and use the fundraising code “EMMAUSPA002.” Purchases will be shipped directly to your home, with orders open now through Dec. 1.
Boxes located in the main office, cafeteria hallway, auditorium lobby and lobby near door #4 are collection spots for pet supplies for Peaceable Kingdom, a Whitehall-based animal shelter. Pet food, treats, toys and cleaning supplies may be dropped off at any of these locations now through Dec. 20. Peaceable Kingdom’s website and posters throughout the school feature the shelter’s supply wish list.
