Sign-ups for winter 2021-22 sports, including boys and girls basketball, wrestling and swimming, are underway. Registration will be ongoing through the first day of practice, Nov. 19.
The school will need all paperwork turned in before the official start of the winter season, which is also Nov. 19. If the athletic department does not have all paperwork, including a cleared physical dated after June 1, the athlete will not be able to participate, which means he or she could miss tryouts.
Students should have received an email with all paperwork and links, providing you with much of the information you will need to register for sports. There will be an instruction packet on what to do to be a part of Whitehall athletics, contact information, important dates, etc.
As always, if you have any questions, don’t hesitate to reach out to the department.
The winter preseason parent/athlete meeting is 7 p.m. Nov. 9 in the WHS auditorium. Take a look at the athletics highlight video, vimeo.com/557660702, which is from the 2020-21 sports year.

A note regarding parent pickup procedures for elementary schools: Student dismissal for parent pickup is 3 p.m.
Parents should arrive for their children no earlier than 2:30 p.m. and no later than 3:20 p.m.
A note must be sent to your child’s teacher each day that they will be picked up at dismissal. Parents who intend to follow this process indefinitely should send a note saying that their child is a yearly pickup and obtain a numbered car tag.
All pickups are located at the back of the school. Please follow the posted signs, which will guide you to the parent pickup area.

Whitehall-Coplay School District believes daily attendance in school is an extremely important factor in students’ success in the educational experience.
If your child is absent, a written note is required within three days with a specific reason and parent’s signature. You may also use the email that is sent to you the day of the absence.
Failure to do so will make this day an illegal absence. After six illegal absences, a parent meeting will be arranged with the building principal.
Thank you for your cooperation and your efforts in monitoring your child’s attendance.
