Three individuals have announced write-in campaigns for the Northwestern Lehigh School Board in the Nov. 2 Municipal Election.

There are four open seats available on the board with four-year terms in office.

Auralia Lundquist

Auralia Lundquist is a 2005 Northwestern Lehigh graduate. She resides in the school district with her husband, Brad, and their three sons.

Her parents, Harry and Ralie Kubat, brother Madison, and sister Haylee, also reside in the district.

“Our Tiger Pride is strong,” Lundquist says.

Lundquist has a Bachelor of Arts degree in education and was a coach for the Northwestern Girls high school soccer team for seven years.

“I am running for school board to be a leader in our community and a voice for parents concerned with the current situations,” Lundquist says. “I want to advocate so everyone can exercise their Constitutional rights and make individualized personal choices.

“I will consistently try to maintain a balanced budget without raising taxes, and work diligently to ensure community members feel heard, understood and respected.

“Clear, consistent, respectable communication is key. I commit to listening, conducting research, asking questions, and always advocating for our community, even in the toughest times.”

Kevin Vernarr

Kevin Vernarr is a son of a Northwestern Lehigh alumnus, the husband of a Northwestern Lehigh alumna, and the father of four.

He owns Appalachian Auto Care, located in the school district, and is president of the board of directors of the Germansville Fire Company.

Vernarr says he started from scratch an award winning Ducati/Triumph motorcycle dealership in Coopersburg.

“Being the fifth generation living on our family farm in Germansville, and as a Northwestern Lehigh alumnus myself, I’m running for school board to make a stand for freedom for the parents and children of Northwestern Lehigh.

“It’s time we stand up to the system and be a voice for the people. I stand for parents’ choice on masks, mandates, and I’ll be making a stand for Constitutional freedoms.

“As a business owner I know what it takes to balance a budget, and will be advocating for a balanced budget at the school, most importantly.

“Write in my name, Kevin Vernarr, to ensure NWL has a voice for the people.”

Jesse Maurer

Jesse Maurer says he began building a life in the Lehigh Valley nine years ago after marrying wife, Corrie, who grew up here.

“Since then, we’ve been blessed with three children, two of whom now attend Weisenberg Elementary,” Maurer says. “I grew up in Collingwood, N.J., graduated high school there in 2002, finished an Associate degree and launched a small business with a friend.

“I transitioned into regional management for six years.

“I then jumped into real estate and am enjoying my ninth year of selling homes in the Valley.

Maurer says he is thankful to God for the opportunity to live in this great country.

“The freedoms we enjoy are unprecedented throughout history,” Maurer says. “Sadly, we are increasingly educating future generations to view America as more evil than good.

“Schools should promote truth while still emphasizing the greatness of our nations structure. More recently, the board needs to defend a parent’s right to make health choices for their children.”
