James “Jim” R. Seifert, 85, of Bethlehem, died on October 24, 2021, while in the care of St. Luke’s Fountain Hill. Born in Bethlehem, he was a son of the late Alan and Hilda (Musselman) Seifert. He was the husband of Rosaleen (Feehan) Seifert for 62 years. He was a graduate of Liberty High School. He earned bachelor’s and master’s degrees in Electrical Engineering from Lehigh University. He was an electrical engineer. He was a director of manufacturing for Western Electric/ AT&T, retiring after 35 years. He then was an adjunct professor in the Business School at Lehigh University for eight years.
He was involved in his parish, Ss. Simon and Jude Catholic Church, Bethlehem, where he was a lector. He was committed to the St. Vin-cent de Paul Society and their service to the poor and hungry.
In addition to his wife, he is sur-vived by three sons, James and his wife Linda of Bethlehem, Thomas and his wife Amy of Exton and Paul of Montgomeryville; a daughter Karen Kennedy and her husband Robert of Bethlehem; two sisters-in-law, Nancy Seifert of Wyomissing and Theresa Feehan of Brick Township, New Jersey; nine grandchildren, Ryan and Meghan Seifert; Allison (Matt Hellhake), Matthew, Kevin and Scott Seifert; Molly, Caitlin and Michael Kennedy; and a great-granddaughter Aria Rose Hellhake.
