“Alton Brown Live - Beyond The Eats,” 7:30 p.m. Oct. 27, State Theatre Center for the Arts, Easton. The television personality, author and Food Network star has toured to more than 200 cities. Fans can expect “more cooking, more comedy, more music and more potentially dangerous science stuff” in two hours of entertainment. “You’ll see things I’ve never been allowed to do on TV,” he says. Brown has been on the Food Network for 20 years with “Good Eats,” for which he received a Peabody award, and “The Return of the Eats.” He was host of “Cutthroat Kitchen” and culinary commentator on “Iron Chef America.” He received two James Beard awards. The Machine - Performs Pink Floyd, 8 p.m. Oct. 29, Penn’s Peak, 325 Maury Road, Jim Thorpe. Doors open at 7 p.m. The Machine, based in New York, has performed music from Floyd’s 16-album repertoire for 30 years. The Machine explores improvisation of early-1970s’ Pink Floyd with elaborate staging and lighting of 1980s’ Floyd. The Machine has sold out shows in North America, Europe and Asia, performed at music festivals and shared the stage with symphony orchestras. The band includes founding members Joe Pascarell, guitar, vocals, and Tahrah Cohen, drums, and longtime band members Scott Chasolen, keyboards, vocals, and Ryan Ball, bass, vocals. Stuart is noting the 20th anniversary of his album, “The Pilgrim.” The Grammy Award-winning singer-songwriter’s 18th studio album is “Way Out West.” The Philadelphia, Miss., native, recorded much of the album of originals, covers and instrumentals, produced by Mike Campbell, of Tom Petty And The Heartbreakers, at Capitol Records, Los Angeles.
