Doug Peters to speak Oct. 28

Transportation historian Doug Peters will speak at the Oct. 28 meeting of the Upper Milford Historical Society.

The meeting will be 7 p.m. in the auditorium of the Upper Milford Township Building, 5671 Chestnut St.

Peters will talk about the trolley service that ran between Macungie and Emmaus through the early 20th century.

Peters’ visit replaces a scheduled presentation on the role of taverns in local communities and in the development of the early United States.
