Christopher R. Rossi, 47, of South Whitehall Township, died Oct. 20, 2021, surrounded by his loving and dedicated family and caregivers.

Born Christmas Day in Allentown, this special bundle of joy was the son of Margaret “Peg” (Burkhardt) Rossi and the late Ronald W. “Trooper” Rossi.

A 1991 graduate of Parkland High School, he was a team member participating in the day programs of ARC.

He loved to participate in Special Olympics, and was the biggest fan of his sister when she played sports.

He and “Trooper Rossi” could be seen together at countless sporting events in the Lehigh Valley, and always cherished the special attention they received from the teams.

In addition to his mother, he is survived by his sister Julie, wife of David Tonkay; niece Macey and nephew Gavin; and aunts, uncles and extended family.

As an everlasting memorial to this special man, when with a person of special needs, take the time to offer a kind word or deed.

He always loved the special attention shown him.
