ACCHS students celebrate annual homecoming

Allentown Central Catholic High School began its Homecoming celebrations with Spirit Week, Oct. 12 through 17. Tuesday was twin day, Wednesday was crazy sock day, Thursday was pajama day and Friday was green and gold day. Central held its annual pep rally Oct. 15, as well as the annual Homecoming dance.

On Oct. 16, Viking football defeated Whitehall 21-7 at the annual homecoming football game.

On Oct. 14, ACCHS inducted the Class of 2022 National Honor Society members. The evening included speeches from National Honor Society president Thomas St. Pierre, Vice President Cooper Mello, Treasurer Joseph Duffy and Secretary Julia Roth.

Each new member signed the NHS book and participated in a candle lighting ceremony.

Great job to Natalie Woytek and Elena Wenrich-Quiñones for their beautiful singing. Thank you to our guest speaker, Sister Marie Jose de la Rose for her inspirational speech.

Central held the annual sophomore retreat in Masson Auditorium Oct. 19. Members of the Class of 2024 participated in a number of bonding activities together.

Thank you to St. Ann School in Emmaus for inviting our ACCHS cheerleaders and drumline to celebrate the school’s annual walkathon Oct. 8.
