A special visit was made at Sheckler Elementary School recently. The kindergarten classes received a whole yard of pumpkins! Thank you to Sheckler Home and School Association for planting the magical seeds for the students.

The annual Sheckler Halloween parade will be 1 p.m. Oct. 29. The route will run through the Sheckler school grounds, but there will be plenty of viewing areas for all visitors.

Students will have their classroom parties following the parade. Parents will not be permitted entry into the school building.

Sheckler is participating in an after-school program called Girls on the Run for girls in third and fourth grades. Students will be taught how to increase their physical activity, learn important life skills and make new friends.
