There are two candidates seeking the seat to represent the third ward on Northampton Borough Council: Democrat Maryann Adams and Republican Trevor P. Stone. Voters will choose one in the Nov. 2 election.
The candidates were asked to respond to the following question in 100 words or less:
What do you see as the most important issue for voters in this election?
TREVOR P. STONE
Northampton Borough residents’ concerns vary throughout the borough, but all are of equal importance. Two of the main issues are Canal Park and trash collection, both of which are currently being addressed.
My goal is to keep an open mind and listen to the community, taking their concerns into the board room. Being a councilman is a unique position where you get to represent the community, and I plan to do that the best that I can.
Adams did not respond.
