Eerie Easton walking tours in October
Northampton County Historical and Genealogical Society offers Eerie Easton walking tours in October.
Tours are offered 6 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. Oct. 15 and 16, Oct. 22 and 23 and Oct. 29 and 30.
Tours last approximately 90 minutes and there is a cost for tickets.
Walking tour guests will travel back in time to explore the dark history of Easton. They will meet their cloaked guide at the Sigal Museum, 342 Northampton St. and be led through the streets of downtown, historic Easton by lantern light.
Tour guests will visit the locations of actual historic events to hear creepy stories such as the tale of Hexenkopf Hill and the witches rumored to use the glowing rock to fuel spells and an account of premonitions warning of the fatal explosion of the Alfred Thomas steamboat on the Delaware River.
