District News: Siegfried, Franklin buildings plan dress-up day

Borough Elementary’s Siegfried and Franklin buildings are having a favorite storybook dress-up day, set for Oct. 29 as an optional event. Letters were sent home with more details.

All students in grades K-5 are allowed to dress up as their favorite storybook character from their favorite book. E-learners can participate from home, too. The students will also be reading stories and doing many activities related to the storybook day.

Costumes should not promote any violence. There will not be time to change into costumes at school, so costumes should be worn to school.

Face coverings will still be required.

Join the fun, and get creative!

Northampton Area High School is looking for strong confident young women to mentor Northampton Area Middle School girls through Club Ophelia. It is a 12-week program after school one day a week.

The club is a positive place to build girl power through crafts and engaging activities. It can also be put on your high school transcript.

If interested, pick up an application in the NAHS guidance office or email ferryd@nasdschools.org.

Each NAHS student should have been sent an electronic copy of his or her ID. Please check the school email address and search for Christmas City Studios.

When scanning in or out of the building, your ID will be needed. Have it up and ready when scanning, and make sure your phone is as bright as possible. Your last year’s ID will also work until you receive your new ID.

Students with no ID must still sign in at the office when coming into the building. If you come through and don’t scan in, you will be marked absent. If you don’t have an ID, be sure to see a secretary.
