Catasauqua Youth Athletic Association basketball sign-ups for girls and boys in grades 1-8 will be held 6-7 p.m. Oct. 28 at 890 Walnut St.

In continuation of Red Ribbon Week festivities, students are encouraged to wear camouflage Oct. 28 so “drugs can’t find me.”
Students dressed in fun ways this week to spread a drug-free message.

Students are encouraged to dress up for Halloween Oct. 29, both as a celebration of the holiday and a continuation of Red Ribbon Week for the theme of “don’t let drugs haunt you.”
Halloween costumes cannot contain a mask, look-alike weapons or studded spikes. All costumes must be appropriate for school and abide by the dress code.
Students are also encouraged to incorporate unique, wild hairstyles or wear a crazy, albeit appropriate, outfit, such as having clothing inside out or backward. All hairstyles must be temporary and completed at home.

The fifth-grade fall festival is scheduled for Oct. 29.

The end of the first marking period will be Nov. 3.
