Whitehall Township Public Library: Coloring, book, TAB clubs meet for activities at library

Our adult patrons might be interested in the ongoing activities we have for them.

The adult coloring club meets 11 a.m.-1 p.m. the first and third Thursday of every month.

The adult book club meets 1-2 p.m. the first Thursday of the month. We talk about whatever we’re reading currently or recently finished.

Young library lovers might be interested in joining the Teen Advisory Board. The group will meet 1:30 p.m. the second Saturday of every month. The next meeting will be Nov. 13.

At the Oct. 9 meeting, the group planned a Halloween event for kids, which will be Oct. 30.

Online registration is now open on our website, whitehallpl.org, for our fall storytimes.

Preschool storytime for children ages 37 months-6 years will be held 1:30 p.m. Tuesdays through Nov. 16.

There will also be a Zoom storytime for all ages, but it is recommended for children 12-36 months old.

It will be offered virtually 11 a.m. Thursdays through Nov. 11.

The library’s mission is to provide lifelong learning with education, enrichment and entertainment through a full range of library services. We can access more than 550,000 items at your request.

The library has joined forces with 10 other local libraries to form the Lehigh Carbon Library Cooperative (LCLC). We all share one library card and catalog, combining us into one collection.

That means patrons can place holds on materials in any of our partner libraries and have them shipped here or to the LCLC library of their choice. We also have events scheduled for patrons of all ages.

The library is open 9 a.m.-8 p.m. Mondays through Thursdays and 9 a.m.-4 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays.
