Sheckler Elementary School is hosting an online school fundraiser that will be open until Oct. 25. The Meadows Farm fundraiser features more than 2,000 products from the United States and New England specifically.

There will be an early dismissal for Sheckler Elementary students Oct. 27. Students will be dismissed 1:30 p.m.

The annual Sheckler Halloween parade will be 1 p.m. Oct. 29. The route will run through Sheckler school grounds, but there will be plenty of viewing areas for all visitors.

Students will have their classroom parties following the parade. Parents will not be permitted entry into the school building.

Thanks to the Sheckler families that registered their Weis cards, the school was given a $400 donation from Weis Markets.

The money will go toward field trips and in-school assemblies for the students.

Please continue to encourage friends and family members to register their Weis cards for future donations.

Sheckler is participating in an after-school program called Girls on the Run for girls in third and fourth grades. Students will be taught how to increase their physical activity, learn important life skills and make new friends.
