St. John’s United Church of Christ, 575 Grape St., will be sponsoring a Halloween trunk or treat 6-8 p.m. Oct. 29. This is also Whitehall’s trick-or-treat night.

This year, volunteers will set up their cars in the Sixth Street parking lot, which is well lit and away from the busy street.

If you are interested in participating and decorating your car, sign the list in the rear of the sanctuary in the coat room or email Colleen Kulhamer at clkulhamer@aol.com.

It is advisable to bring a mask and gloves to hand out candy, even though this is an outside event.

St. Elizabeth of Hungary Roman Catholic Church, 618 Fullerton Ave., will be holding its third trunk or treat Oct. 30 after the 4:30 p.m. Mass in the large parking lot on Pershing Boulevard. All parish families are invited.

Consider participating by decorating your car with Halloween fun and treats. Cars should arrive in the parking lot 5:45 p.m. After 6 p.m., no cars will be allowed in and the treating will begin.

The event will end 7:30 p.m., and all will be asked to return to their cars.

At St. Elizabeth’s, Eucharistic adoration will take place in the church before the 9 a.m. Mass Mondays and before the 7 p.m. Mass Thursdays.

Contact Wendy Ohlsen at 610-248-6648 if you have questions.

There will be a paint party 1 p.m. Nov. 9 at Whitehall Active Community Center. A picture of fall leaves scenery was chosen.

There is a cost, which will include all supplies and light refreshments.

Call 610-443-0657 for pricing and to register.

Participants should prepay and register by Nov. 5, so the group can have an accurate count to obtain supplies. There will also be a sign-up sheet in the center.
