Emma B. Wieder, 101, of Macungie, formerly of Grand Junction, Colo., died Sept. 27, 2021, in The Willow senior community. She was the wife of the late Donald C. Wieder. Born in Ringtown, she was the daughter of the late Frank E. and Minerva (Lindenmuth) Swank.
During World War II, she worked at an ammunition plant in Elkton, Md., an airplane plant in Pottstown and Mack Trucks. She later worked as a seamstress for Marmot Factory in Colorado, retiring in 1982.
She was a member of Solomon’s U.C.C., Macungie.
She was a super creative person and enjoyed crafting pheasant feather pictures, making leather purses and making unique cowboy hat bands.
She is survived by a daughter, Nancy A. and her husband, Larry Mory, of Emmaus; a sister, Grace Lawrence, of Macungie; grandchildren, Denise and her husband, Steven Lechmanik and Todd L. Mory and his wife, Amy; great-grandchildren, Stefan, Nicholas, Jessica and Jake. She was predeceased by seven siblings.
