The Catasauqua Middle School Parent Teacher Forum is seeking new members.

Open PTF positions include president, vice president, treasurer, secretary/social media communications and parent volunteers.

The PTF encourages communication within the community and helps raise money to give the classrooms and students more resources, activities and class field trips.

The PTF members enhance communication among parents, faculty and administration; encourage teachers by showing parental support in the classroom; volunteer time for events and fundraising activities to support the students’ educational activities; and provide an avenue for parents to meet with other parents in the school community.

New ideas are welcome!

Picture retake day is scheduled for Oct. 21 for both traditional and virtual learners.

Cycle 2 for eighth-grade students begins Oct. 21.

There will be an early dismissal Oct. 27. CMS students will be dismissed 12:20 p.m.

Students are encouraged to dress up for Halloween Oct. 29.

Halloween costumes cannot contain a mask, look-alike weapons or studded spikes. All costumes must be appropriate for school and abide by the dress code.

Students are also encouraged to include a unique, wild hairstyle or wear a crazy, albeit appropriate, outfit, such as wearing clothing inside out or backward. All hairstyles must be temporary and completed at home.
