Catasauqua: Legion breakfast planned for Oct. 24

Catasauqua American Legion, 330 Second St., will be holding its next all-you-can-eat breakfast 8 a.m.-noon Oct. 24.

The menu includes scrambled eggs, bacon, sausage links, SOS, home fries, French toast, juice, coffee and tea.

The public is invited.

The Catty Seniors Plus group will next meet Oct. 27 at Slovak Center Social Club, Fifth and Grove streets, North Catasauqua.

Doors open noon. The meeting will begin 1 p.m.

The Catasauqua/North Catasauqua J4 committee is planning to meet 7 p.m. Oct. 28 at North Catasauqua Municipal Building, 1066 Fourth St.

Volunteer to help plan the 2022 J4 Celebration, scheduled for July 2 at North Catasauqua William J. Albert Memorial Park, 701 Grove St.

All those attending the meeting are asked to wear a mask even if vaccinated.

The annual Mrs. Nothstein’s Helping Hands homemade holiday craft and food sale is 9 a.m.-8 p.m. Nov. 4 and 5 and 9 a.m.-2 p.m. Nov. 6 at St. John Fisher Church, 1239 Third St., North Catasauqua.

The sale will include a wide range of unique homemade items from more than 35 local crafters.

The kitchen will be open, with halupki, turkey bowls, filling, halushki and more for takeout. Baked goods, including apple dumplings, cutout cookies and more, will also be available.

Payment for crafts, food and baked goods can be made via credit card, cash or check.

Proceeds from the sale benefit local children and their families who are in need. To date, almost $100,000 has been provided for those needing assistance.
