The trees are changing and the leaves are starting to fall … that can only mean fall is officially here along with the many fun activities.

Salisbury Elementary School will hold its Color Run noon Oct. 16. This event is a great fundraiser for our elementary school. Have a great race day!

Not happy with the school photos from this year? Photo retakes at all schools are coming soon. Salisbury Middle School will have retake Oct. 21; Salisbury High School will hold retakes Oct. 27 and SES Nov. 1. You must return your original package or you will be charged for the second package.

SES will hold its next T-shirt day Oct. 22.

Salisbury’s Homecoming will be Oct. 22. There will be a homecoming parade 5:30 p.m. Oct. 22, leaving from SES heading to SHS. They are still looking for anyone willing to donate the use of a convertible. Please email jhahn@salisburysd.org for more information.

Salisbury Township will hold trick or treat night 6-8 p.m. Oct. 29. Please remember to turn your porch light off if you do not want the ghosts and goblins of the township to knock on your door for treats. Also please remember to be extra cautious while driving home from work that day. Our streets quickly become packed with those participating.

The township yard waste sites continue to be open alternating weekends for your drop off needs. Hours for drop off are 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday and Thursday and 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday. The Franko Farm Drop-off will be open Oct. 18, 21 and 23, while the Devonshire Drop-off will be open Oct. 25, 28 and 30.

Jerusalem Evangelical Lutheran Church of Eastern Salisbury, 1707 Church Road, Allentown, is hosting a Trunk or Treat event 6 p.m. Oct. 23. All are welcome. They are looking for families to decorate their cars and participate. If interested, call 610-797-6933.
