Northampton: Food bank sets distribution dates
Northampton Area Food Bank, 1601 Canal St., will hold food distributions 5-7 p.m. Oct. 14 and 21 and 9-11:30 a.m. Oct. 16.
The food bank is open 9:30 a.m.-noon every Wednesday for registration, questions and donation drop-offs.
A walkathon fundraiser is set for 9 a.m. Oct. 30.

Northampton Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 4714 announced a veterans assistance program. Each year, the Post will offer assistance to eligible veterans.
To be eligible, a veteran must be honorably discharged and meet one of the following requirements: retained residence in the Northampton Area School District for the last three years; be a life or active member of VFW Post 4714; or be a member of the VFW Post 4714 Honor Guard.
To request an application, call 610-440-0572 or 610-360-2810. The veteran’s DD-214 must accompany the application.

The deadline to apply is Oct. 15.

Northampton Exchange Club will be holding its fall craft fair 10 a.m.-3 p.m. Oct. 17 at Northampton Banquet and Event Center, 1601 Laubach Ave.
Admission is free.
More than 70 crafters and direct sales vendors will set up displays. A tricky tray raffle will also be held.
Food and beverages will be available for purchase.

The Siegfried Railroad Station, a museum housing artifacts of Northampton and the surrounding area, will be open for the final time this season 1-4 p.m. Oct. 17.
The station is located on West 21st Street (Route 329).

The Jack Frost Parade is scheduled for 6 p.m. Oct. 23. The rain date is Oct. 30.

Monday night bingo has resumed at Northampton Banquet and Event Center, 1601 Laubach Ave. Doors open 5:30 p.m., and the games begin 7 p.m.
