Moore Township: Moore Township plans trunk or treat Oct. 22 at rec center

The Moore Township Community Days committee is hosting a trunk or treat 6-9 p.m. Oct. 22 at the township recreation center, off English Road and Route 946.

Moore Township Lioness/Lions Club is hosting a penny party Oct. 24 in the social hall at Klecknersville Rangers Volunteer Fire Company. Doors will open 11:30 a.m., and play begins 1 p.m.

There will also be a Chinese auction and Thanksgiving basket raffle.

The kitchen will be open.

Emmanuel’s Evangelical Lutheran Church, 3175 Valley View Drive, is planning a fall festival 11:30 a.m. Oct. 24 in the church pavilion. There will be pumpkin carving and decorating, as well as games and crafts.

Attendees must bring their own pumpkin and a freewill donation. Decorations will be provided.

Northampton County Department of Public Works is holding a free document shredding event for residents of Northampton County. The event will be held 10 a.m.-noon Oct. 16 at Department of Human Services, 2801 Emrick Blvd., Bethlehem.

Residents are limited to three boxes or bags per vehicle with a 25-pound weight limit per box or bag.

Accepted items include accounting records, canceled checks, pay stubs, financial statements, investment transactions, legal documents, medical records, tax forms, etc. Staples, paper clips, rubber bands and folders are accepted.

Unacceptable materials include junk mail, magazines, catalogs, photographs, negatives and X-rays. Ring binders, metal strips and plastic sheet protectors or coverings will be refused.
