Going to the Walnutport Canal Festival? Avoid parking woes by riding your bicycle. The festival is across the river from the D&L Trail’s Slatington trailhead.

Free and monitored bicycle parking will be offered noon-4:30 p.m. Oct. 17 on Canal Street, near Main Street, courtesy of Lehigh Township Rails to Trails.

The drive-up, self-service food pantry at Hope Lutheran Church, 4131 Lehigh Drive, is available for those who need help feeding themselves and their families. It is located in the main parking lot under the car port.
