Joyce C. Dietrich
Joyce C. Dietrich, 79, of Lenhartsville, died Oct. 3, 2021.
She and her husband, Clifford R. Dietrich, celebrated their 61st wedding anniversary in May.
Born in Albany Township, she was the daughter of the late Roy R. and Velma A. (Kunkle) Snyder.
A 1960 graduate of Kutztown Area High School, she had a vegetable route in Reading and a roadside vegetable stand in Kutztown for more than 20 years.
She also worked at McCory’s and Wayne’s Dry Good, Kutztown, and drove school bus for Van Lear, Kutztown School District for 13 years, and Gross Equipment, Brandywine schools for three years, and sold Tupperware for 10 years.
She was a member of many organizations including: Dunkels Union Church cemetery board, vice chairwoman of the Pennsylvania German Cultural Heritage Center, auxiliary member of the Kutztown Kempton fire companies, Virginville Grange, state and national Grange, Gideons International auxiliary, Women’s Heart Support Group Lehigh Valley, Red Hat Ladies Pretty Purple Posies, and Grace Evangelical Congregational Church Kutztown.
She started Sisters of Grace Ministry, served as Sunday School president at Friedens Church, Lenhartsville, taught Bible study, and taught Sunday School for more than 20 years.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by daughters Joan, wife of John Dietrich, and Lisa, wife of Bryan Peters; son David Dietrich; grandchildren Aaron, Christian, Jed (husband of Erin Hoffer), Breton, Chelsea (wife of Justin German), and Tyler Dietrich (husband of Angela Corrado), Julia (wife of Damian Shoff), Laura, Bryan Jr. (husband of Terra Ali), Lydia, Jacob, and Katie Peters; great-grandchildren Ellie, Nova and Han Dietrich, Coralynn German, Blayke Kranch, Abraham, Samson and Lazarus Shoff; and sister Shirley Tallman, wife of the late William Tallman, and many nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her foster brother, Sterling Bower, (Helen’s husband).
