John M. Sosik, 59, of Laurys Station, died Oct. 5, 2021, at home.
Born Aug. 21, 1962, in New Brunswick, N.J., he was the son of the late Edward Sosik Sr. and the late Rose (Seabright) Sosik.
He and his wife, Janice M. (Mecca) Sosik, shared 38 years of marriage on Dec. 17, 2020.
A graduate of Penn State University, he earned a Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering.
He was last employed in the engineering department of Synchronoss Technologies Inc., Bridgewater, N.J. for the past six years.
Before that, he was an engineer for LSI, Allentown, for 30 years.
He was a former soccer coach for the Schnecksville Playground Association.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by a son Joseph J. Sosik and wife, Victoria, of Maplewood, N.J.; daughter Allyson M. Sosik and fiancé Kyle Kremposky of New Tripoli; granddaughters Addison, Avery and Emma; brothers Edward Sosik, Jr. of Moscow, Lackawanna County, Peter Sosik and wife, Judy, of Harrisburg, and Paul Sosik and wife, Virginia, of Dunmore, Lackawanna; and sister-in-law Grace Sosik of Orefield.
He was predeceased by brother, Scott Sosik, in 1999.
