Homer Earl Williams, 89, of Allentown, died Oct. 4, 2021, in Lehigh Valley Hospital, Salisbury Township.
He was the husband of the late Ruth C. (Dehrs) Williams, who died in 2012.
Born Aug. 19, 1932 in Clearfield County, he was the son of the late Dr. Carlin O. and Edna V. (Overturf) Williams, who had resided in Allentown. Employed at Mack Trucks Inc. for 33 years, he retired in 1988.
He had a stained glass studio for many years after that, and was well known for the restoration of lamps and church panels.
A 1950 graduate of William Allen High School, he continued on at Mercersburg Academy and then enlisted in the U.S. Army in February 1953 and, as a sergeant, he served in the Korean War, 25th Division.
He has been a faithful member of the ELCA congregation of Cedar Union Church, South Whitehall.
In his younger years, he was an avid outdoorsman and gardener and, throughout his life, a caring friend to many.
His survivors include children Susan L. Williams of Schnecksville; Karen D. Williams-Roman and her husband, Linus E. Roman, of Midlothian, Va., and Jeffrey C. Williams of New Tripoli; grandson Zachary P. Roman and his wife, Mackenzie Roman, of Leland, N.C.; brother and sister-in-law, Donald and Ina Williams of Alburtis; sister and brother-in-law, Margaret and William Cameron of Luther Crest, South Whitehall; and sister Carlene Schmoyer of Emmaus.
He was predeceased by brother-in-law Terrence Schmoyer and sister-in-law Cleora Hubler.
He was a favorite uncle to his many nieces and nephews.
