Debra Kay Ginder, 67, of Macungie, formerly of New Smithsville, died Oct. 9, 2021, surrounded by family and friends at home.
She was predeceased by her husband of 36 years, John A. Ginder, in December 2011.
Born in Allentown, she was the daughter of the late Clarence B. and Lillian M. (Kuhns) Trumbauer.
She retired in 2015 as an office manager at Lehigh Valley Health Network, Salisbury Township.
After graduating from Shippensburg State College, she taught typing and business skills in Quakertown.
She had a lifelong passion for sewing, gardening and baking, but was happiest with her toes in the sand on a beach with a good book.
In retirement, she enjoyed spending time with her granddaughter, traveling, and volunteering her time at the Lowhill Food Pantry.
She also volunteered for the former Snack Pack program at Northwestern Lehigh School District.
She was a longtime member of Ziegels United Church of Christ, Breinigsville.
Her survivors include sons Jason A. of Williamsburg, Va., and Kyle J. of Allentown; daughter Stephanie G. Powers and granddaughter, Makenna A. Powers of Charlottesville, Va.
Her service will be 2:30 p.m. Oct. 15, at Ziegels Union Church, 9990 Ziegels Church Road, Breinigsville, with the Rev. Dr. Larry D. Pickens officiating.
Visitation will be from 1-2:30 p.m. Interment will be private. Masks are required.
