Christopher D. Tyrrel, 73, of Schnecksville, formerly of Nazareth and Garden City, N.Y., died Oct. 10, 2021, in Phoebe Home, Allentown.
He was the husband of the late Elyse H. (Buchman) Tyrrel.
Born April 16, 1948, in Brooklyn, N.Y., he was the son of the late Richard B. and Cynthia (Davis) Tyrrel.
He was employed in the transportation department at Moravian Hall Square, Nazareth, for several years before retiring.
Before that, he was an account manager at R.S. Rosenbaum, New York City, for many years.
An avid auto racing fan his entire life, he traveled across the country to hundreds of race tracks as both a spectator and a driver of his beloved Formula V with the EMRA Racing Club.
His other great love was music, which was always playing in his home and had him singing along.
His survivors include children Liane Tyrrel-Walker and Kimberly Morganti, both of New Hampshire, Ian Tyrrel of Thailand, Ashley S. Tyrrel of Brooklyn; companion Judith A. Neff with whom he resided; siblings Candace Selesky and Jeffrey Tyrrel both of New York; and four grandchildren.
A graveside service will be held 1:30 p.m. Oct. 16 at Slatedale Cemetery with the Rev. James D. Robison Jr. officiating. There will be no calling hours.
