Bicentennial Bash held in East Allen
The inaugural Bicentennial Bash, held Aug. 28 at East Allen Township’s Bicentennial Park West, 5351 Park West Lane, featured food, yoga, musical entertainment and more. The event was sponsored by Greater Bath Area Chamber of Commerce.
Music was provided by the Silk and Steel Duo and the Wonton Soups.
Sponsors included Crayola, Creative Actions Yoga, ESSA Bank & Trust, Terraform Engineering, Omega Protective Services, Mike Robinson Productions, Tony Tibaldi with State Farm and Greater Lehigh Valley Chamber of Commerce.
Jessica O’Donnell and Lauren Bertucci, of the Chamber, were excited about the event’s success. They noted East Allen is a dynamic, growing community offering potential with a high quality of life.
East Allen Township Supervisor Chris Cruz was on hand with his wife, Tammy, and their dog, Brosco. Cruz said events like this move the community forward, and he hopes there are more initiatives to develop fellowship and to preserve the township’s history.

Bam’s Carrot Cake was a popular stand, providing carrot cake samples for the attendees. Bam’s grandson, who staffed the stand, credited his grandmother for the delicious offerings. Information about Bam’s can be found at bamscarrotcake.com.
