The free festival has German-style food and beer, music and contests. Little River on The Peak: Little River Band, with seven-piece orchestra, 8 p.m. Oct. 8, Penn’s Peak, 325 Maury Road, Jim Thorpe. Doors open at 7 p.m. Rescheduled from Oct. 16, 2020. Original tickets honored. During the 1970s and ‘80s, Little River Band’s hits included “Reminiscing,” “Cool Change,” “Lonesome Loser,” “Help Is on Its Way” and “Lady.” Worldwide album and CD sales have topped 30 million. In 2004, Little River Band was inducted into the Australian Recording Industry Association Hall of Fame. British folkie: Iain Matthews, 8 p.m. Oct. 8, Godfrey Daniels, 7 E. Fourth St., Bethlehem. Matthews, English musician, singer-songwriter, was an original member of British folk-rock band Fairport Convention from 1967 - 1969 before leaving and forming his own band, Matthews Southern Comfort. During the 1970s, Matthews had another group, Plainsong, supported by his ex-Fairport mates Sandy Denny and Richard Thompson in the studio and on tour.
