Flora F. Lichtenwalner, 87, formerly of Lyon Valley and Macungie areas, and Fellowship Community, Whitehall, died Oct. 3, 2021.
She now resides with the Lord Jesus in heaven.
The wife of Harry S. Lichtenwalner, the couple shared more than 67 years of marriage.
Born in Laurys Station, she was the daughter of the late Augustus U. and Lillian M. (Andrews) Foster.
She was a member of Grace Community Church, New Tripoli, and a former member of Solomon’s UCC, Macungie, and Weisenberg Union Church, New Tripoli.
She worked at Woolworths, PP&L, Farm Bureau, Kelly Girls and Dorney Printing.
She worked 20 years as a tax collector’s secretary for Lynn Township, and lastly retired from Lehigh County Recorder of Deeds in 1999.
She was active with Laurys Station, Macungie and Seipstown Granges, the youth group at church, as well as various other positions and the cemetery association.
She dearly loved family, all kinds of get-togethers, showing hospitality and giving gifts. Most of All, she loved the Lord.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by children Bruce S. and his wife, Marliese E., Judith E. Lichtenwalner, Dan L., and his wife, Jan E., Ray S. and his wife, Jill N., and Matthew E. and his wife, Tracie A.; 12 grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren.
She was predeceased by brothers Robert J. and Theodore C., sisters Evelyn Koehler, June Pummer and Louise Foster.
Her service will be 11 a.m. Oct. 7 at Grace Community Church, 7343 Gun Club Road, New Tripoli. Calling will be 10-11 a.m. at the church.
