Carolyn “Connie” Kidd Reed, 84, of Allentown, died Sept. 27, 2021, surrounded by her family in Lehigh Valley Hospital, Salisbury Township.

She was the wife of the late Ralph F. Kidd and Frank E. Reed.

Born July 10, 1937, in Scranton, Lackawanna County, she was the daughter of the late Charles F. and Carolyn (Hauser) Brooks.

A graduate of Cedar Crest College with a Bachelor of Arts degree in elementary education, she taught in the Northern Lehigh School District before retiring in 1997.

Before that, she taught in the Parkland and Allentown school districts. She taught a total of 27 years.

She was a member of First Presbyterian Church of Allentown.

Her survivors include a son Brenton E. Kidd (Erin) of Broadlands, Va.; daughter Carolyn M. Hatt (Monte Miller) of Glen Mills; brother Cody H. Brooks of Dalton; sisters Susan V. Brooks of Columbus, Ohio, and Leslie B. Durant of Allentown; and grandchildren Colin, Owen, Cody, Dalton, Lizzie, and Caroline.
