Brian E. Brong, 77, of Whitehall, died on Sept. 27, 2021, in Lehigh Valley Hospital, Salisbury Township.

He and his wife, Bonita L. (Wert) Brong, were married 55 years.

Born Jan. 31, 1944, in Allentown, he was the son of the late Theodore S. and Pearl (Gernert) Brong.

He faithfully and honorably served his country in the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam War era.

A crane operator at the former Bethlehem Steel Corp. for 30 years, he retired in 1995.

In addition to his loving wife, he is survived by a daughter Michele L. Fera (Pasquale) of New Cumberland; son Jason B. Brong (Kristie) of Allentown; sisters Marion Brong of Allentown and Kathi Smoll of Schnecksville; grandchildren Mattea (Jose), Domenico, Angela and Nina; and great-grandchildren Elena, Micah.
