CONTRIBUTED PHOTOS Catasauqua High School teacher Leslie Estrada joins Catasauqua Police Department Officers Jenna Potak, Isaac Jimenez and Brandon Gianopulos to collect donations for an Aug. 2-13 community school supplies drive, benefiting Catasauqua Area School District students. The drive was organized by Estrada and Potak, who also serves as a school resource officer in the district.

Estrada, a board member of The Elevate Foundation, puts supplies in the donation bin with Bill Rowe, The Elevate Foundation founder. The foundation donated backpacks and other supplies for the drive

Each backpack is filled with a variety of supplies students need for the start of the school year. The donation wish list was created based off the supply lists CASD teachers provided. Donations were dropped off at Catasauqua Police Department, 90 Bridge St., and North Catasauqua Borough Office, 1066 Fourth St.
