For teens in grades 6-12, we are offering a Bewitch a Book Cover take-home craft beginning Oct. 11 and a sugar skull decorating take-home craft Nov. 1.

You must be registered for these events to receive the craft kits.

Join Northampton Area Public Library for the autumn basket social, set for 6 p.m. Oct. 22 at Northampton Banquet and Event Center, 1601 Laubach Ave. Tickets will be available for purchase at the door.

Ticket presale is going on now until Oct. 21. The presale special is buy three cards, get one free.

Bake sale items, 50/50 tickets and food will also be available for purchase.

Due to precautions, masks will be required, and there will be no live drawing. Winners will be notified beginning Oct. 23.

Explore the interactive children’s library on our website and Facebook throughout October. Find links, videos and activities relating to early literacy.

Registration for fall children’s programs began Oct. 4. The programs will run Nov. 2-Dec. 16.

Programs include Wonderful Ones, 10 months-2 years; toddler and preschool storytimes, ages 2 and 3-4 respectively; and Storycraft, kindergarten-second grade. There is also a book club, games club and STEAM craft club for grades 3-5.

Registration is required for most programs.

A 4-H program will take place 6 p.m. Thursdays at the library for children ages 5-11. We will have food experiments, art and more.

These programs will be held outside as weather permits.

We are planning a virtual spooky trivia night 7-9 p.m. Oct. 28 for adults to test their knowledge of classic horror movies, monsters and more. Register yourself or your team of up to four people. A Zoom link will be emailed to your team. Participants must be 18 years or older.

The Friends of the Library group is running a strudel fundraiser through Mattie’s Strudel Haus. Offerings include 12-inch sweet and savory strudels. Flavors include apple; cherry cobbler; bacon, egg and cheese; buffalo chicken; chicken bacon ranch; and veggie.

You can place your orders at the library. Payment is due at the time of order.

Pickup will be Nov. 15 at the library.
