St. Elizabeth of Hungary Roman Catholic Church, 618 Fullerton Ave., is planning to hold its 12th annual basket social for 5-7 p.m. Oct. 8, 10 a.m.-7 p.m. Oct. 9 and 8 a.m.-2 p.m. Oct. 10.

All baskets and prizes are valued at more than $25. This includes area business donations of show and game tickets and certificates for area restaurants and stores. A big ticket raffle is available for prizes worth more than $50.

The drawing starts 2:30 p.m. Oct. 10. Winners will be called.

St. John’s United Church of Christ, 575 Grape St., will be having its 25th annual road rally 1:30 p.m. Oct. 17.

After a year off because of COVID-19, the road rally is back. Once again, participants will travel around the area and enjoy the fall scenery and end up at an area restaurant at the end of the ride.

As always, prizes will be awarded for those who follow directions most accurately. A poster will be in the back of the church for sign-ups.

We recommend three or more people in each car to watch for “things” along the way.

Deadline to sign up is Oct. 10.

The PEEPS women’s group of St. John’s UCC will hold its next meeting 6:30 p.m. Oct. 19 in Fox Hall. Refreshments will be served.
