District News: Club meeting set for Oct. 7 in room A108
There will be a Ski and Snowboard Club meeting 2:50 p.m. Oct. 7 in room A108 (Mr. Yadush’s room). See Yadush if you cannot attend.

The Homecoming dance will be 5-8 p.m. Oct. 10 at American Club of Coplay. Tickets are $15 per person and are being sold during lunch periods until Oct. 8.
Lehigh Career and Technical Institute students can purchase tickets before or after school with Mrs. Le in room E110.
This event is only open to WHS students.

There is no school for students Oct. 11. This will be a professional development day for teachers.

Students in 10th and 11th grades who are registered to take the PSAT should be ready to take the test 8 a.m. Oct. 13. Arrive to school on time and bring an approved calculator.
Also, it is encouraged to practice taking this PSAT beforehand by using the materials that were provided. See the parent email from Mr. Davidson regarding transportation, the plan for nontest-takers and lunch that day.

As part of the School Wide Positive Behavior Support program, Fire Safety Day and Fire Prevention Week are observed in October.
Various Whitehall fire stations will have their trucks parade around Gockley Elementary School Oct. 14. Students will have designated areas around the building to stand and watch.
Additionally, a fire safety video will be shown in classrooms, so teachers can discuss safety with the students.

Free ESL (English as a Second Language) classes are available for Whitehall-Coplay School District students and family members.
Classes are held online 6-9 p.m. Thursdays and are open to all family members of WCSD students.
You must attend a class at least three Thursdays per month for three months.
