Joan A. Thibou, 85, of Bath, died Sept. 25, 2021, in her home.

Born on Sept. 14, 1936, in Fullerton, she was the daughter of the late Earl and Helen (Peters) Bortz.

She was a clean room technican for the former Western Electric/Lucent Technologies for 26 years before retiring.

Her survivors include children Michael R. Thibou (Debra) of Blandon, Robert R. Thibou of Bath, Thomas R. Thibou (Cathy Shellenberger) of Bethlehem, Barbara J. Berutti (Joseph) of Allentown, and Melissa J. Ouellette (Timothy Nordon) of Bath; siblings Robert Bortz of Topton, Dawn Wetzel of Whitehall, Carol Rosecrans of Whitehall, and Nancy Akhtar of Monroe, La.; 10 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by siblings Patricia Laub, Linda Rohrbach, Kay Schuster and Eugene Bortz.

Family and friends may celebrate her life 11:30 a.m-12:30 p.m. Oct. 2 at the Schnecksville Fire Company, 4550 Old Packhouse Road, Schnecksville. Guests are invited to stay after 12:30 p.m. for a gathering.
