Esther A. Dopira, 96, formerly of Allentown, died Sept. 25, 2021, in Phoebe Home, Allentown.

She was the wife of the late Nicholas Dopira.

Born March 27, 1925, in Summit Hill, Carbon County, she was the daughter of the late Peter and Anna (Lesniak) Bienniek.

She was a member of St. Paul’s Roman Catholic Church, Allentown.

Her survivors include children Michael P. Dopera (Barbara) of Schnecksville, Linda A. Peckelun (Richard) of Salisbury Township, and Diane M. Schmidt (Richard) of Schnecksville; grandchildren Kristine Wertman (Lee), Michael Dopera (Karen), Lauren Dritsas (Shawn), Nikol Kushma (Glenn), Kerri Peckelun, Richard Schmidt, and Marisa Van Dusen (Kyle); and great-grandchildren, Zoe, Lauren, Joshua, Noah, Henry, Erin, Nikolas and Parke.

A private graveside service will be held at St. John the Baptist Byzantine Catholic Cemetery, Summit Hill.

There will be no public calling hours.
