Troop support program continues
A preliminary/final plan was approved during the Sept. 16 Lower Macungie Township Board of Commissioners meeting. This plan is for Guardian Storage, 4440-4478 Cedarbrook Road, which is located at the intersection of Cedarbrook and Service Road #2. The plan calls for consolidation of five lots which comes to a total of 3.1 acres and demolition of four residential buildings. A 120,000 square foot self-storage building will be erected.
Commissioners reminded residents Quarry Road is closed until winter 2022. This also includes Quarry Park. This is due to the extension of Sauerkraut Lane being built.
Commissioner Brian Higgins is meeting with residents of the Mertztown Road area over flooding issues.
Budget meetings will begin in October.
