Theft
Edwardo Rivera, 35 and Angel Perez Sanchez, 34, both of Allentown, were charged Aug. 30 with alleged theft by unlawful taking, receiving stolen property and conspiracy following an incident in the 3100 block of Lehigh Street, according to Salisbury police.
A patient at Lehigh Valley Hospital, Cedar Crest campus, found his wallet, containing cash and various cards, was removed, according to Salisbury police. The incident was reported Sept. 11 and remains under investigation.
DUI
A 35-year-old female, of Northampton, was charged Aug. 29 with allegedly driving under the influence and related offenses following an incident in the 3200 block of West Emmaus Avenue, according to Salisbury police.
Possession
A 53-year-old male, of Allentown, was charged Sept. 6 with alleged possession of a controlled substance following an incident at Lehigh Valley Hospital, Cedar Crest campus, according to Salisbury police.
Scam
A resident of the 1500 block of Herbert Street was convinced by an unknown person, who said he was from financial technology company PayPal, to purchase gift cards and provide him with the card numbers, according to Salisbury police. The same person also allegedly attempted to transfer money from the resident’s account. The incident was reported Sept. 10 and remains under investigation.
Fraud
Salisbury police recently investigated three additional incidents of unemployment benefits fraud. Residents are encouraged to continue to report such incidents to police.
Assist
Salisbury police assisted Salisbury firefighters at a vehicle fire scene in the area of East Emmaus Avenue Sept. 3. The fire was put out and the vehicle was towed from the scene, according to Salisbury police.
